Our First Snow!

So two weeks ago, it finally snowed! Usually it starts snowing here around Halloween/Thanksgiving, but it's been a pretty dry and warm winter so far. It did, unfortunately, snow over winter break, but the snow didn't stick for very long and it was gone by the time I returned to school.

The Saturday after I got back, I woke up at about 8 or 9 to snow! I've lived in Arizona my entire life so I haven't really been around snow all that much. My family and I used to go up to Flagstaff every winter to see the snow, but I had never seen snow actually falling from the sky until about a year or to ago on Christmas morning in Colorado. Since then, I had only seen it snow once or twice but never like it did here. The snow was sticking right off the bat and within the hour the snow was completely covering the ground.

A bunch of the other girls in my dorm and I went outside and built a snowman. That was the first time I had ever built a snowman, and even though all I did was help pack the base, it was seriously so much fun. We named him Taylor, and we all took super cute pictures with him. We gave him a cucumber nose and a hat, he looked pretty good when we were done with him. One of the girls tried to bite his nose while it was on his face, but his nose was frozen. After Taylor died, his nose did end up getting eaten though.

We threw snowballs at each other, attempted to sled and my friend's roommate even made a snow angel. There was even a mini snowplow driving around getting the snow off of the sidewalks, that was so crazy. It was seriously one of the best days I've had in a really long time.
