Okay, so I know I don’t usually mention names in my blog posts, but a few weekends ago the most amazing thing happened! Jessica Squared was reunited! Yes, my best friend’s name is also Jessica and yes, we’re cute (and obnoxious) and call each other Jessica Squared (because there’s two). I haven’t seen Jessica since August and I’ve missed her so much. With the exception of one, very sad summer, this is the longest time we’ve ever been apart in all 6 years that we’ve been friends. It’s been so weird not being able to see her everyday! That weekend with Jessica was the happiest I've been since she left. We had so much fun and I'm so grateful I was able to see her.

She got here while I was in my Statistics class and I had to sit there waiting for 1:30 to hit while my best friend was just down the street. That was the longest 50 minutes of my life! I miss her so much! When I saw the RV, my heart leapt out of my chest! After she got here, we obviously had to get food so we went to Subway and got lunch and caught up on everything which was so nice. Then we went on a crazy adventure to Walmart, emphasis on the crazy. That was the single most eventful trip to Walmart I have ever taken. We even saw the Deloreon from Back to the Future; if that's not exciting, I don't know what is. When we got back from Walmart, we unpacked all of the groceries and hung out in my dorm room for a while. Then, we spent the rest of the day with Jessica's cousin in her apartment. We had a lot of fun and we even went to get ice cream from Baskin Robins. Well, Jessica's cousin and I got ice cream, Jessica got cookies instead.

On Saturday, we got breakfast and headed downtown. We went in all the good stores and even found a new little Italian bakery that was hidden in a small alley. It was so cute! We went to the mall next and took the bus to Dutch Bros. We found a Fractured Prune nearby and we got A LOT of donuts and they were soooooo good.

That night, Jessica, my roommate, and I went to the kitchen in my hall and made macaroni and cheese while we listened to music. After we ate, we went back up to my room and played Mario Kart and ate donuts. We put on face masks and our matching pajamas and watched movies while playing Cards Against Humanity.

Unfortunately, she went home early the next morning and I had to go to church for my choir performance. I miss her so much and I hate not being able to see her every day anymore. It's so hard not being able to talk to my best friend all the time. This has made adjusting to college so difficult. I don't get calls from my family every day just to check up on me like most people. I don't have a very strong support system and I'm pretty much on my own here. I always expected to have my best friend there with me, but she had to leave and now I just have one friend and one roommate here with me.
